Artworks by Vladimir Pajevic
Profile & Artwork
Vladimir Pajević was born in 1948 in Belgrade and is an Italian painter of the Serbian origin. He studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Belgrade where he obtained a master degree in painting. Since 1978 he has lived and worked in Rome, Italy.
Pajević’s obsessively recurring landscapes, which often show lonely, vegetation stifled gateways, share an inexplicable spirit with the surreal and the strange. His scenes seem so thoroughly isolated and mysterious, in fact, that they provoke serious meditations and unlikely chills.
In 2008 the museum of Bad Frankenhausen in Germany hosted an anthology exhibition presenting Pajević’s and Kapor’s (Pajević’s wife) artworks.
Pajević has exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions in various European and American galleries.
