Shipping & Tax

Shipping Charges and Times

We ship to UK, EU and EEA addresses, which are our standard delivery destinations. We can also ship outside of these zones; please refer to the International Orders section.

Most orders, e.g. unframed Artworks and two-dimensional editions, are processed and shipped within 10-14 business days. However, some items, e.g. framed Artworks and sculptural editions, might take longer particularly if they require special packaging or handling.

We will do all that we reasonably can to meet the date given for delivery. We cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control. If we are unable to make the delivery date we will contact you. If delivery cannot be made within 30 days of the given delivery date, we will, at our discretion either provide you with a revised delivery date, or cancel your order and refund the payment made by you. If we are able to make delivery in advance of the given date we will contact you.

If we fail for any reason within our control to fully/partially deliver your Artworks, any reimbursement shall be no more than the price of the Artworks, together with any delivery and/or reasonable return costs.

Either party is entitled to cancel the contract in respect of non-performance of obligations in relation to delivery. If cancelled we will refund you any monies already paid by you and any reasonable return costs incurred by you.

Owing to the diversity in the price, size and weight of the Artworks as well as the Artworks origin and the shipping destination, shipping costs need to be priced on a case by case basis.

Shipping costs include all packaging, handling and insurance fees but they do not include potential import duties and taxes which you may have to pay upon receipt of the Artwork.

All shipping charges are shown on your order form prior to your committing to your purchase.

Artworks are normally sent direct from the Artists’ studio or supplying gallery. Occasionally, if the Artwork is already at our premises it will be sent by Strategie Art itself.

Packaging may vary from artwork to artwork. If you purchase Artworks from more than one different gallery or more than one different Artist, they may be delivered to you in different packaging and on different dates. Packaging is provided by the Artist or gallery.

We use professional carriers as well as Fine Art handling companies. The carrier selected will depend on the Artwork’s origin, the shipping destination and any special packaging/handling requirements.

If you require the Artwork to be delivered urgently for a special occasion in most cases we will be able to arrange this. Please contact us if this is the case.

When your order is shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number. You can check the status of your package and the estimated delivery date online by using the tracking number.

All deliveries require a signature as proof of delivery. Owing to the valuable nature of Artworks and design objects, Strategie Art packages should not be left unattended. You are responsible for ensuring that delivery information is accurate and for making arrangements to take delivery of Artwork.

Where you have not made any arrangements to take delivery and delivery has been attempted then you will be responsible for any additional delivery charges incurred.

Once the Artworks have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions, you will be responsible for them. Our responsibility for everything other than damage owing to our or the carrier’s negligence will cease upon delivery.

All Artwork is insured against damages in transit. Insurance is automatically included in shipping fees.

Strategie Art books the cover for you once the purchase has been effectuated.

The insurance is logged at the underwriters in your name, as displayed on our records.

Unframed Artworks, depending on size, technique and medium used, will be either rolled and put in a tube or flat packed in double cardboard, wrapped in acid free tissue.

Framed Artworks, sculptural editions and other three-dimensional objects will be packaged using bubble wrap and foam and boxed.

Tax, Customs, Import Duties, Fees

All applicable UK VAT is included in the price of your Artworks. Please be aware that Artworks sent to countries other than the UK may be subject to other import duties and charges which are out of our control and are the responsibility of the purchaser.

These import duties and taxes are normally applied when the delivery reaches the destination.

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the Artworks are destined. If in doubt, please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

Importing and exporting is always entirely at your own expense and risk. We will not be responsible for any liability nor duty charged or any fines or impositions as a result of any import, export or attempted import or export.

The shipping provider handling the import may charge handling fees to clear an import from customs. Examples of these fees are: a customs clearance fee, or customs handling fee for processing the import declaration, an advancement fee for paying the duty and VAT on behalf of the recipient, an airline handling fee for loading and unloading the goods, a security fee for screening or x-raying the goods.

You can use the following website to assess those taxes and duties:

Banking charges by the receiving bank on payments to us will be borne by us. You may be subject to additional charges from your Bank that are outside of Strategie Art’s remit e.g. payments in a currency other than Pounds Sterling. Strategie Art will not be held liable for any of these additional charges imposed.
